Just over a year ago Hank and Donna's life changed drastically. Hank went to visit his physician's office regarding knee pain he was experiencing. Later that evening Hank was rushed to the hospital because he had no feeling in his body from the waist down. After many tests and over 6 weeks in the hospital his doctors still unsure what caused him to be paralyzed and thus confined to a wheelchair. Hank was released from the hospital and has to undergo physical therapy and is still enduring numerous doctor visits, which include painful tests that are still being conducted on him to try to determine the cause of his paralysis.
Due to Hank's many doctor and physical therapy visits, his wife Donna took an early retirement so that she could be his full time caregiver. As we have experienced and witnessed first hand as a family, both Hank and Donna are very giving people and have often gone above and beyond in lending a helping hand when needed. Aside from their jobs, Hank and Donna extended their efforts in supporting and developing the youth as they were both heavily involved in coaching, with Hank coaching girls basketball and refereeing and Donna coaching youth cheerleading. Through these efforts, they have exemplified the true meaning of giving and teamwork. With the influx of medical bills and the decrease of both incomes, it's making it harder to afford the necessities needed to assist Hank daily. Our family on behalf of Hank & Donna would like to ask for your support in helping to purchase the following items needed to assist Hank as well as continued support for medical bills:
Custom fit wheelchair
Chair Lift for stairs
Wheelchair Accessible Van
Thank you SO MUCH in advance for your support in this effort. It is very much appreciated!
