Support for Daisy’s Emergency Vet Bills & Recovery

This week, Daisy became seriously unwell and was rushed to the emergency vet on Sunday evening. She was placed on a drip and kept overnight for monitoring as she was really weak. During the night, an ultrasound revealed she had Pyometra — a life-threatening infection of the uterus.

Daisy underwent emergency surgery today at 11am (14/07/25), which included being neutered to prevent this from ever happening again. It was a long, worrying day. She didn’t wake up until late afternoon, and her temperature had dropped dangerously low. She was cold and fragile, but she’s now awake and slowly stabilising. She’ll need to stay overnight again, and the vets will reassess her condition tomorrow.

The cost of her care has been overwhelming. Emergency surgery, overnight monitoring, and ongoing treatment have added up quickly. We’re doing everything we can to support her recovery, but we’re now facing vet bills that are simply too much to manage alone.
