Healing love and support for Brandi

For the past seven plus years I have witnessed Brandi’s struggle to search for answers to her ailments. She has gone to many different doctors who ran countless tests, has changed her diet, takes an array of supplements, has tried different medications and changed her life in anyway that she can to try and find some relief. After being misdiagnosed for so long, a little over a year ago she finally got answers to put her on the right track.
Brandi was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. In its absolute simpliest form of explanation, Lyme Disease is a bacterial infection caused by a tick bite. If left untreated, Lyme results in a chronic and very difficult to treat condition. Being that it had been in her system for 7 or more years by this point, it has made its way to effecting many parts of her body. Her symptoms started out as moderate pain mainly in her upper body, but after having a natural childbirth in 2011(trauma to the body often causes lyme to come out of hiding), her symptoms erupted into sometimes severe widespread pain throughout her body. She suffers extreme fatigue, cognitive disfunction, including vision issues, severe brain fog, and depression. The bacteria also attacked her thyroid, and adrenal system, causing an array of other symptoms including hypothyrodism and adrenal fatigue.
After a year of working with experts in the Lyme disease treatment field, not much has changed. Brandi needs to step up her strategy and go full force into a new protocol, one that is not covered through her insurance. It is expensive and requires a 9 month commitment. Fortunately, there is a high success rate with this treatment!! Along with this new protocol, she should be recieving as many alternative treatments as possible (accupuncture, chiroprators, massage, essential oils, etc) to really support her healing process. She has been limiting these avenues due to the high cost and again, these things are not covered by insurance although they obviously have beneficial health effects. Brandi has also been putting off having a root canal removal. This procedure has been known to greatly improve many Lyme symptoms, however it is extremely expensive.
Being one of Brandi’s closest friends, I have seen what she has already paid in money and hardship to try and eradicate this nasty bacteria from her system. This new treatment offers her the most hope she has had, but it also comes with the stress and burden of affording it.
As someone who has grown up in the most hospitable communities I have ever been in, I realized we could all help her! :)) I love sharing with my California friends how my community back home in Louisiana truly cares and looks out for one another. That "family" is extended so far out, inclusive of all of our friends and their family and on and on... that is something we are super proud of as cajuns! I believe that our friends will do whatever they can to bring ease to a friend's life. This is not at all a pity party nor a life or death situation for Brandi. She and her husband work hard, holding steady jobs that they both love, and have created a beautiful life for themselves and their 3 1/2 year old daughter Lilah. Contributing to Brandi is our way of showing her we love her and are here to lighten her load. Through this campaign we want to let her know that we are excited to see her in full health and back to her silly ways! This gift from all of us will offer healing beyond measure!!
So let's pull together, ease them of this extra burden, and hold our sweet Brandi in our prayers as she continues on this path to full recovery and absolute radiant health!!! Thank you so much for being a part of our amazing family!
In love and gratitude, Tracy
