Meet Myla

Myla is a beautiful soul with the gentlest eyes. She has a disability in her leg/foot— a reminder of a past that wasn’t always kind to her — but it has never taken away her sweetness, her trust, or her will to love.

After a vet visit last week, it was determined that it would be in Myla’s best interests for her to be spayed. Myla is 8 years old and has had at least one litter of puppies but she is still high risk for Pyometra. Pyometra is an infection of the womb which can very easily be fatal in is unfortunately common in Myla’s breed. Our little lady also needs a couple of little age related lumps removed to prevent future growth and irritation.. and she also needs a nice little clean and shine of her teeth along with her ongoing treatment of her skin and paws with special shampoo.

When she looks at you, she doesn’t ask for sympathy. She asks for comfort. For safety. For someone to see her not as “the dog with the bad leg,” but as Myla — deserving, precious, and full of heart. ❤️

At HeartRescue we promised her she would never be overlooked again. She will stay with us for life, surrounded by care and compassion. But love alone doesn’t cover medication, special shampoos, vet visits, and the ongoing support she needs to stay comfortable and pain-free.

The road ahead may not be easy — but she is worth every step.

Update on Miss Myla

Myla went in for her operation today, she was spayed, had an irritating lump removed from her paw and had a polish and scale on her pearly whites. She is recovering well and has eaten, drank and been to the toilet. She is super tired and is having lots of loving cuddles with her foster family

Sending lots of love and thanks from Myla to those that sent donations specifically towards her vet fees. Unfortunately the op cost quite a bit more than was raised in her go fund me pot so if anyone can spare a small donation it will be gratefully received.
