I'm Erica Acosta, a young mom living in Milan, Italy, a dear friend of Eman and Ahlam's brother, Ahmed, who was already outside Gaza to study with a scholarship.

Eman (36 years) and Ahlam (34 years) are two young sisters from Gaza, where life has always been difficult but they managed to have the necessary to carry a good life with their respective husbands and children.

Eman's children: Tamer 14 years old, Abdalrahman 10 years, Mohammed 2 years and a half.

Ahlam's children: Diyala 9 years old, Dima 7 years old, Sumaya 5 years old.

Husband: Loai (35 years)

They used to live in North Gaza, they had a home, a job. But now they lost everything and while trying to move South, they separated from each other and are currently trying to save their families' lives, in Deir al Balah and Rafah. Eman's husband, Amir Saleh was also seriously injured. Their life now has changed drastically.

My goal is to collect donations to help their families survive in the immediate emergency, to evacuate them from Gaza, to Egypt (El Cairo), where another injured brother is currently located. The costs to exit from Gaza go from $5.000 for each adult and $2.500 for each child. Each family is formed by 2 adults and 3 children.

They also deserve a chance to rebuild their life once they are out and safe, but they will need our help. Please put yourself in Eman and Ahlam's shoes and do what you would do if this happened to you or a member of your own family.

As you may know or imagine, things change constantly in Gaza, but I'm able to give access to funds to them by doing a bank transfer, I have already made transfers during the last 2 years. Locally, to access to cash, people rely on merchants who provide the cash but with a high commission, around 30-40%. There is no other choice unfortunately.
