Dough Needs Our Support!

You know him by the name of Dough. Most likely when you met him the first time, he probably said, "…yes like the dough in your pocket," or "Everyone could use more dough, or my favorite “Everyone Loves Dough”. — Dough"!

I believe Dough to be one of the most witty, charismatic, funny, social, loyal, creative, wicked smart friends I have, and perhaps you do too? Since we met in 1993 we have been the best of friends and quickly adopted each other as family and we have called each other CUZ (Cousin) ever since.

Whether you are from the Seattle, San Diego, San Francisco, or Las Vegas areas and you have had the pleasure of meeting him, he probably turned out to be one of your favorite people too.

Dough's health has been declining over the past few years, and Covid has done a number on him. He needs our support in any way we can; Money, Time, Resources, Referrals, & professional services.

Here is an update on Dough since you have seen him or talked with him last.
  • December 2021 - Dough Caught Coivid, which made him very sick for a very long time.
  •  February 2022 - Dough was sent to the ER for a stay in Mercy Hospital's ICU for over 3 weeks.
  • A dire situation as Covid attacked his body, reducing his heart function to 11%, giving him a stroke and aneurysm.
  • Yes, you heard that right! Dough suffered and is trying to recover from Heart Failure, a Stroke, and an Aneurysm!
  • One of those health problems would kill most of us, but he somehow beat it - but barely.
Miraculously - Even though his heart function went as low as 11%, it still kept beating!
Miraculously - The aneurysm stopped bleeding, and they were able to give him meds to get the access blood out of his brain.
Miraculously - His stroke was minor, which impacted his ability to do basic everyday things.
  • March through May 2022 - Dough has returned to the hospital and ER five times for extensive and expensive tests for shortness of breath,  dizziness, and fatigue. His heart is still struggling to keep up with doing even the most basic tasks.
  • May 20th, 2022 - His heart issue is currently stabilized at 29%, and so has his stroke recovery, but he still suffers from short-term memory loss, anxiety & depression.  He can not drive, walk very far or work yet, so he has been stuck at home for months now.
  • May 22nd, 2022 - Dough found out after an angiogram that he will need a stint or open-heart surgery in the next 30 days.
  • May 24th, 2022 - Dough has 7 days to find and get the resources he needs, and this is where you come in.
  • May 31st, 2022 - Dough will lose his job and current medical coverage.
We have estimated that $15,000 will support him in catching up on the last 4 months of bills. These funds will also put him in a good place to get everything he needs to be ready for his surgery in late June. Also, we are discussing a potential move back up to the Bay Area where most of his closest friends and fam live.

Transcript from his video:
Hey, Fam, this is just wanted to give an update on uh what's been going on for the uh last bit of time uh since December.

I got COVID in December which ended up getting into my heart and causing me a stroke and aneurysm, and at that time I had unfortunately also had my heart go heart failure and went down to 11 percent function at that time.
I've been in and out of the hospital five times now.
The last time I got out of the hospital was a couple of days ago, so, and unfortunately, I haven't been able to work since back in February either.

It's, been a tough time it's been it's been uh just an amazing pain in the rear, and uh you know I'm a fighter and I'll never quit fighting. Where we are at now is that they want to take 30 days and see what is going on with my heart and how it's holding up and if the COVID is reduced somewhat at that point and if it has then they want to do the heart surgery the bypass surgery to fix the damage to my heart and hopefully, that'll get everything better and you know that's what I'm really hoping for is you know that get better I'm planning to move back up to San Francisco to the Bay Area be closer to Damien and you know my peeps up there and you know to be able to get back to work get out and work out with Dom doing the waterbikes and you know get healthier and be able to you know get back to taking life by storm and you know hopefully you know get behind the camera again and you know just find my way back to health and loving life and you know I don't

And certainly will never give up that's just not who I am, and you know any ways it's you know you can help I greatly appreciate it, whether that's you know being able to help out a little bit financially and I know, I know things are tough for everybody I mean you know I've been uh with not being able to work since February I understand and you know and uh still waiting for you know still waiting for a decision for a disability to kick in, and it's just it's been a pain, but you know I mean the future goals are really where it's at I really am looking forward to uh you know getting better, feeling better and just having life get back to you know the normal that it used to be and uh you know get back to kicking butt and uh you know so any ways you can help I appreciate if you if you have the help you understand just to some advice or just send in love, is love is the is the biggest one you know I love you all, and I appreciate everything thank you so much. Dough.
