If we are to continue Dharma's Garden into next year, we need your help.
In 2014, we embarked on a journey to transform an abandoned field into the vibrant garden and hub of community that Dharma’s Garden is today. Starting with little more than a vision and the will to put in the work, we have been aided and enlivened by the steady stream of support coming from you, our community, along the way. We could not have come this far without the generous support of so many people, and we cannot stress enough the immense gratitude that we feel, every day. Yet, even with this support, we have poured out more of our own finances and physical efforts than is sustainable.
We are now at a watershed moment, where the future of this endeavor will be determined.
With a significant infusion of funding up front, we can take the necessary steps in 2020 to ensure the long-term viability of Dharma's Garden. And it’s the long-term vision that motivates us — that this little gem of sanity and wonder we call Dharma’s Garden can continue in perpetuity, for the benefit of future generations. We remain resolved to bring this vision to fruition, and we are optimistic that together, we can make it happen.
A CALL TO ACTION We have an ambitious fundraising goal of raising $220,000 by the end of 2019. With your help, we can do it. Once we reach this fundraising goal, we will have the resources we need not only to operate the farm through the 2020 season, but to devote ourselves fully to the long-term viability of this project, including a plan for permanent acquisition of this land.
Our goal of $220,000 will allow us to: - pay the farm’s rent for the next year - purchase necessary updates to farm infrastructure - fund a salary for our head farmer - hire a director of community outreach - contract with a professional fundraiser to achieve the long-term viability of this endeavor
