Hi everyone! My name is Cara and I'll be representing the United States in the 17th World Dragon Boat Racing Championships in Germany between July 10-20. This will be my first time racing with Team USA and I can't be more honored to represent the country for a sport I love, in the highest level of competition, in the most competitive age group!

My dragon boat journey began in 2019 in New York City. My very first coach Jenny from United East Athletic Association made it to Team USA in 2023 and that has been my motivation ever since. In Nov 2024, I moved to Los Angeles and now paddle with Southbreeze and Killer Guppies dragon boat teams. Dragon boat is life!

To train for Team USA, I paddled a total 564 hours and 4,040 kilometers on water and accumulated more than 1 million meters on the paddle erg in the past 2 years. There were days of burnout, frustration, and disappointment, but the thought of making the national team kept me going.

Now, I'm on the home stretch, just a bit more than a month until Team USA goes to Germany! I hope you can be a part of my journey and I can't wait to make you all proud. Hope we'll bring back home some big wins! Thank you all <3
