Tom, Amanda, and Logan Foglio welcomed Baby Landen into the world in early March at Winnie Palmer Hospital. Here is a little bit of his story....
Meet Landen... Most people don't even know about Landen because he was not expected & he has had a rough road getting here. His Mommy & Daddy kept information about him among family & close friends because they were not sure they would ever meet him. Mommy had a very complicated pregnancy & was told he would have little to no chance of survival. Little Landen had another plan in mind & fought for his life for 27 weeks (11 weeks longer than he was supposed to according to the doctors). He kept Mommy very sick until the day he arrived. When he decided he couldn't fight on his own anymore, he decided to arrive 13 weeks early to ask his doctors for help. The neonatal team at Winnie Palmer saved his life on March 5 when he was born. Landen continued to fight for his life every day after that, and he has made improvements that no doctor ever thought he would, and in a very short amount of time. However, Landen's fight is far from over. He will be in the NICU for a very long time, and has many hurdles he needs to cross before he will be able to go home to be with his family. His mommy & daddy have had to make a lot of sacrifices to be able to give Landen the care he needs at this time. There are a lot of unexpected expenses that have come along with having a preemie with health issues living in a hospital over an hour away from home. Traveling back and forth has limited their work schedules, and Daddy is working 3 jobs and juggling taking care of Landen's 3-yr-old big brother so Mommy can be at Landen's bedside as much as possible. Please help support Landen & his family so that he can continue to receive the best care possible & grow to live the life he has been blessed with against all odds. Funds raised will be used to help with medical bills, travel expenses and other unexpected items that Landen will need as he grows.
