San Francisco Achievers aims to reduce the achievement gap for African American young men in San Francisco high schools through college scholarships, social and emotional support, and mentoring services.
Since 2008, SF Achievers has provided over 188 scholarships to African American males who meet a minimum GPA requirement and are in need of financial assistance, recently averaging 30 scholarships a year.
“They helped me get on track with financial aid, they helped me enroll in college. If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be a college student today.” - Charles Ransom, SF Achievers Scholar
We’ve created #BlackFuturesMonth to represent our commitment to our Achievers and helping them reach their goals. With this month being Black History Month, we hope to shine light on these future leaders by expressing our continuous support and investing in their future.
