Help a disabled black trans person make his life accessible for the first time.
My name is Phoenix and I am a disabled artist in Chicago. I have struggled with chronic pain my entire life and have never had any accommodations.
I have been pushing myself and my body but I reached a breaking point when I tested positive for Covid again in February. It has been my worst infection to date. I have been dealing with a long list of symptoms that have further disabled me.
Additionally, my body has also been through a lot of intense emotional shock, turmoil, and grief from losing my dad in August of 2024. The grief and illnesses in combination with everything else really has pushed me over the edge. I just really need a lot more support than I have right now.
I have exhausted my resources and that is why I am reaching out to my community in hopes to get some assistance to help me get back on my feet.
I have not worked in months and only recently returned to work a mere 5 hours/week. I have been thinking really hard on the fact that I do deserve help and to not just fall through the cracks.
I really want to turn my life around, I just want to live peacefully. I am just hoping so badly that I am able to get some sense of relief and to not carry this burden alone anymore.
On top of needing help with rent and necessities, I have also decided I want to crowdfund for all new documents for my name change.
I would love help to make my life easier by making it more accessible.
Truly any amount helps and sharing goes a long way. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you,
