Estoy creando este GoFundMe en nombre de mi querida amiga de la familia, Zunilda Nueces, quien recientemente fue diagnosticada con Síndrome Mielodisplásico (MDS), una forma de cáncer. Sus médicos le han recomendado comenzar la quimioterapia de inmediato para evitar que el cáncer empeore su condición. Con valentía, Zunilda inició su primer ciclo de Vidaza y Venclexta en diciembre de 2024, pero su batalla está lejos de terminar.

La mejor oportunidad que tiene Zunilda para sobrevivir es someterse a un trasplante de médula ósea, y por la gracia de Dios, hemos recibido un rayo de esperanza: su hermano ha sido identificado como una compatibilidad perfecta para el trasplante. Sin embargo, hay un gran obstáculo: su hermano vive en la República Dominicana y necesita viajar a los Estados Unidos para poder realizar el procedimiento.

Acudimos a su generosidad y compasión para ayudar a Zunilda en esta lucha por su vida. Cualquier donación, por pequeña que sea, marcará una diferencia significativa en su camino hacia la recuperación.

I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear family friend, Zunilda Nueces, who has recently been diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), a form of cancer. Her doctors have recommended that she begin chemotherapy immediately to prevent the cancer from worsening her condition. With courage, Zunilda started her first round of Vidaza and Venclexta in December 2024, but her battle is far from over.

Zunilda’s best chance of survival is undergoing a bone marrow transplant, and by the grace of God, we have received a ray of hope: her brother has been identified as a perfect match for the transplant. However, there is a major obstacle—her brother lives in the Dominican Republic and will need to travel to the United States for the procedure.
