Support Zulma's Journey to Wellness and Hope

Hi,

My name is Ricardo Ochoa (aka Ricky). I am a proud father of three, husband, brother, friend, and a loving son. I come to you all today as an endearing son. My mother, Zulma I. Buenrostro, was recently diagnosed with Follicular lymphoma. She is a mother of four, a beloved grandparent, a caring daughter, a great friend, and a very accountable, hardworking person. She has worked for the same employer for more than 30 years and continues to try her best every day to get fully healthy and to return to work. Zulma is also looking forward to retirement within the next 2 years. Until then, she struggles both physically and emotionally every month as she receives chemo treatment. It is gut-wrenching and difficult as a son to personally hear your mother's tears through the phone as she struggles. I call her every day, sometimes three times a day, to provide support, comfort, and love, letting her know that we are all here for her. She is an optimistic, faithful, and determined woman who believes wholeheartedly that "everything will be okay because God is good all the time!" I start this GoFundMe page without her knowing as she is a very proud, reserved person who has always been someone to give more than to receive. In fact, while beside her at the last 7-hour treatment, I couldn't help but notice how much she kept saying, "¡Dito!" (a form of affection in Spanish), silently praying, being empathetic, and kind to those around. If you know her, my beautiful/loving mother has always been and will always be one to care for her elders, respect, love, and give to those around her. This time, I feel an obligation to assist in some small way and show her an act of kindness. If you can provide any small donation to show your support, we'd greatly appreciate it.
