I am organizing this fundraiser for my uncle Zulfir Uzunaliyev. At 57 years old, Zulfir is a beloved grandfather, father, husband, friend, cousin, who has always approached life with strength and a deep commitment to his family and community. Recently, his life was unexpectedly and drastically altered when he underwent a double amputation to save his life after a serious medical complication. The past few months have been an emotional and physical battle for Zulfir and his family as they navigate this new reality.

He now faces a long road of recovery, rehabilitation, and learning to navigate the world in a new way. The financial burden is immense, covering medical expenses not fully covered by insurance, prosthetic legs, modifications to his home for accessibility, and ongoing physical therapy.
