Help a Single Mama Fight for Her Little Girl’s Life — Baby Zulema, Age 4
Since the first week of September, this brave single mama has been living in hospitals — sleeping in chairs, holding her daughter’s hand through every test, every tear, and every terrifying night. Her beautiful little girl, Zulema, just turned 4 years old while hooked up to IVs and monitors, battling Leukemia Bone Marrow Cancer instead of playing, laughing, or starting preschool like most children her age.
On September 6th, just days before her birthday, Zulema was diagnosed with this aggressive cancer. What was meant to be a time of joy became an unimaginable fight for her life.
Since that day, her mother has never left her side — through long hospital stays, helicopter transfers, and rounds of painful chemotherapy. She has spent every moment comforting her daughter through side effects so harsh no child should ever endure them: severe nausea, dangerous electrolyte imbalances, fluid buildup in her lungs and abdomen that made it hard for her to breathe, and even a Rhinovirus infection on top of everything else.
This devoted mom has had to give up everything to be by her little girl’s side. She is a single mother with no financial support system, no one to step in so she can go to work, and currently no medical insurance while waiting for approval. Every hospital meal, every tank of gas, every medical bill — it’s all out of pocket right now.
The truth is — she’s holding her entire world together through sheer love and faith.
