IT'S HAPPENING.

I've been approved for top surgery! I have an appointment!

As many of you know, I have recently lost my job. While I am lucky enough to still have health insurance that covers much of the surgery cost, I am now paying a fairly large amount out of pocket to maintain this level of health coverage through the surgery and post-op procedures. Because the surgery will be scheduled for mid-September, it's unlikely I'll have been able to accrue much income or savings by then, even if I find a new position in the next week or two.

With that in mind, I am hoping to raise this money to help offset the costs of my health insurance, additional medical costs, and supplement our single-income household, especially since Luke will likely have to take a couple of days off work as well to help me while I recover.

Anything that I am able to raise above this goal will help me and Luke pay our rent while I'm searching for a new job!

This news is a huge silver lining in what's been a bit of a rough patch lately, and I'm so overjoyed to share this news with you guys. Thank you so much in advance for any support, even if it's just love from my friends and advice from other folks who have been through this process before!
