Support Z and Ezra's Recovery!

Hi all!

As some of you know, I’m preparing to move in the next two weeks to Philadelphia to pursue teaching seventh grade English in the Philadelphia Public Schools. Unfortunately, this past weekend, my beloved cat Ezra needed an emergency surgery and was in critical condition. Balancing moving costs, unstable income until I begin teaching again over the summer, my own medical bills, and Ezra's has been difficult.

I rescued Ezra from a trash can in Philly three years ago and he has been my buddy ever since. He's spirited, mischievous, and a handsome charmer. Seeing him so sick has been brutal, as he is so different from his typical self. I’m grateful to the doctors who were able to perform the life-saving surgery he needs. Given the expensive medical costs I am asking for donations of any amount that will go directly to Ezra’s medical bills. Relocating to a new city for a new job is stressful, and I definitely didn’t anticipate doing it with a sick cat! Thank you to everyone who has loved on Ezzie and I these past few years. This community is so beautiful and means so much to both of us.
