Emergency Abortions. They’re definitely not the way to go. With a beautiful family, Zora, Jason, and Nova, they were expecting another baby McHenry by July. Zora is the best mother I have ever watched. She knows what to do and when to do it. She takes care of Nova like no other mother I’ve seen. She’s so perfectly fit for the mother role. Jason is an amazing dad who knows how to show his baby girl love and how to teach her right from wrong. Nonetheless, they are a perfect little family who deserve and want to add another baby.
They went to an ultrasound together and the heartbeat sounded so clear and everything looked fine. The doctors then began to get quiet and started taking so many pictures—a stressful amount. The doctor then told the family it looks like amniotic band syndrome (ABS), which is very rare. The doctor also informed them that the baby’s survival rate was slim to none. Zora then made an appointment with high-risk pregnancy specialists to get clear answers. The doctors there told the family she had a limb body wall complex.
Limb body wall complex is basically where the baby’s organs are outside of its body but it is still attached to the placenta. The baby is suffering and the only option is to have an emergency abortion. If she chose not to have an abortion, then she will be giving birth to a stillborn.
I'm writing this GoFundMe for their family in hopes of many other families understanding her situation. It’s a very unfair situation. They do live in Idaho, so they will need to travel to get the emergency abortion. Zora is 14 weeks pregnant and places won’t do the medication route past 12 weeks, so she has to have the medical procedure done instead. This has to be done this coming up week. Financially speaking, it’s a lot to put on. We are asking for financial help to cover the cost of having to travel to Utah, spend the weekend there for multiple appointments needed for this procedure, take days off from work, and considering it’s in another state her insurance will not cover for this emergency medical procedure, with that being said we don’t want Zora and her family stressing over the bills instead of focusing on themselves and recovery from this traumatic experience
