Support Zoraida Cruz's Road to Recovery
Beschermde donatie
Hello,
My name is Zoraida Cruz and on Sunday, July 20th, my life changed in the blink of an eye.
That morning, I was at my parents’ house, working on my 2000 Dodge Dakota as I often do. After finishing with the tires, the truck suddenly shifted in an instant, I was pulled underneath and dragged several feet downhill.
Crushed beneath the weight, scraping along the hot asphalt, I screamed for help. I was slipping in and out of consciousness, convinced I was dying. My father somehow managed to lift the truck enough for paramedics to reach me.
In the ambulance, I went into cardiac arrest. Thanks to the quick action of the EMTs and the doctor I was revived and given an emergency blood transfusion.
Since that day, I’ve undergone multiple life-threatening surgeries and have been hospitalized with a shattered pelvis and hip, collarbone, 12 broken ribs, sprained ankles, fluid in my heart, and now a serious bacterial infection. I face at least three more months in the rehab hospital and a long, painful recovery.
If you're able to support my journey—financially or by spreading the word—I would be deeply grateful. I’ll need a wheelchair, a renovated bathroom, and many home adaptations to regain some normalcy in my life.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Sincerely,
Zoraida Cruz
