Support Zoph's Recovery from Brutal Transphopbic Attack

On August 17, 2024, our beloved friend Zoph was the victim of a brutal and senseless transphobic and homophobic bashing on the subway. The assailant left Zoph severely injured and alone, forcing them to confront the immediate aftermath of this horrifying incident on their own until friends arrived to provide support and drive them to the hospital.

Zoph, who dedicates their life to caring for dogs and was in the midst of studying to become a certified dog trainer, now faces a grueling recovery process. Since the attack, they have suffered from severe spinal and dental injuries, requiring numerous hospital visits and a disruption of their life and ability to survive.

Given the physically demanding nature of their work with dogs, Zoph's injuries have made even the simplest tasks excruciating. While their doctors estimate a recovery period of 7-8 months for the fractures to heal, Zoph faces a daunting challenge in covering essential expenses such as food, rent, and medical bills. They might be able to return to work in 2-4 months, but this uncertainty makes it difficult for them to plan for the future and focus on healing from the traumatic impacts of this experience.

During this period of acute need, Zoph urgently requires financial support to manage the costs of hospital transportation, groceries, pet supplies, and other crucial necessities.

Zoph is a vibrant and loving individual—a passionate artist, devoted animal lover, and a Beatles fan who brings joy and color to everyone around them.
