Support Zoie's Long Road to Recovery
Zoie Hester is a bright, sweet teenager from Blackshear. On Sunday, October 27th, 2024, Zoie was standing close by a four-wheeler that exploded. She was air-vac'd to a children's pediatric burn center. 60% of her body is covered in burns. She has already had a few procedures, but still has more ahead. She is still in very serious condition. The doctors have said her road to recovery will be long: months and possibly even years. She will be hospitalized for a long while.
Zoie's grandparents, Mike and Ann Callahan, have a long road ahead of them as well in caring for Zoie. It is emotionally hard to watch your loved one go through so much, especially at such a young age. Many prayers have been made on behalf of Zoie and her grandparents, and they are much appreciated. Please keep them coming!
We have created this GoFundMe account to offer Zoie's grandparents additional help in the form of money for those who would like to and are able to donate. The money will help cover costs of food, gas, and any necessary expenses while having to go back and forth to the burn center, which is two and a half hours away. Any amount is greatly appreciated and a huge blessing.
Thank you, everyone, for your kind words, thoughts, prayers, and donations.
