Hi, my name is Natalia Twardzicka. I'm the mother of a twelve-year-old beautiful daughter, Zofia T. She was diagnosed over a year ago with anorexia nervosa. She has been hospitalized three times already. She has also completed a PHP program (partial hospitalization for eating disorder). Zofia attended therapies for over a year but did not achieve much improvement. Each time, we faced different obstacles. After the last hospitalization, the doctor decided to reveal her weight to her on the first follow-up visit, and that was a setback, not progress. We decided to change schools for her because she was bullied for a long time. Overall, it is a long process to heal the mind and body. There is a high demand for good facilities that treat eating disorders and mental health because it's all connected. This is a more friendly environment than a hospital, where kids are usually very stressed out. We have found such a program for her in Wisconsin. Our insurance doesn't cover out-of-state programs. We will eventually upgrade the insurance, but for now, we are obligated to pay out of our pocket. I kindly ask who is willing to help us in this difficult moment.
