Support Zoe's Heart and Liver Transplant Journey

Zoe is a sweet, kind, and caring 12-year-old who was born with a rare heart disease called HLHS. Because of this disease, her liver is now in stage 4 cirrhosis. In order to have a successful liver transplant, she will also need a new heart.

Although home is in Florida, their family was called on January 31, 2025 to come to Pittsburgh to wait in the hospital for a donor and they had just one day to get there. As of Saturday, February 1, Zoe and her mom will have to live in the hospital through this process (pre-surgery/waiting for a donor, during surgery, and post-surgery). Lodging, food costs, daily living, and travel expenses throughout the next year are starting to and will continue to add up. Zoe's father will continue to work his full-time job in Florida and travel as often as possible to Pittsburgh on the weekends to be with both Zoe and her mom. We can help! Let's come around their family to show support so they can give all their attention to Zoe as she undergoes a heart and liver transplant and heals during this next year. What a blessing it will be for Zoe's family to not have to be concerned with the mounting financial needs and stressors and be able to focus on what Zoe needs to flourish. We want to see their family thrive and have joy in the midst of a serious medical situation.

Updated on 3/25/2025: Zoe is receiving her miracle surgery on Wednesday, March 26, 2025!

Updated on 5/17/2025: Zoe was put back on ECMO this week and her left lung and kidneys are not functioning as they should. Her new heart and liver are functioning well. Her family is still at the children's hospital in Pittsburgh.

Zoe means "life" and this name fits her so well! Zoe loves living life to the fullest - she loves Disney, candy/sweets, Harry Potter, crocheting, laughing, playing games, spending time with family and friends, and all adventures! Everyone that knows Zoe loves Zoe! Let's come together to provide over and above what their family will need to live life abundantly!
