Hi! My name is Zoe and I am a first year PhD student at Michigan State University studying wildlife interactions and conservation. I am looking for financial support to travel to Ecuador to help with disaster relief and ecosystem restoration on the west coast through the Field Regeneration Institute.
In 2016, an earthquake destroyed most of coastal Ecuador, costing people their homes and livelihoods, and costing animals their habitats. The forests that host some of the diverse species in the world has been lost, and there are now massive efforts to restore it.
I want to travel to Ecuador to work with the Regeneration Field Institute to rebuild structures for student and public use, implement sustainable farming tactics, and help endangered species recover. I will work with locals and students across the world to restore the beautiful forests and landscapes in Ecuador.
With your support, I will be able to support conservation efforts in Ecuador and give funding to the valuable work at the Regeneration Field Institute. I will be able to take lectures about sustainable architecture and conservation that will benefit my research in America.
What I Need: $750
- Airfare from United States -> Ecuador
- Building supplies for bamboo structures
- Seedling and plants for restoring local farms
- Transportation and lodging
Thank you for giving your attention to an important cause!
