Support Ziva's Surgery for a Pain-Free Life

My name is Beth. I'm the happy owner of 8 geese, 10 chickens, and 2 dogs. My youngest is Nero, an American Black Lab, 4 years old. My other dog is Ziva; she's a Rhodesian Ridgeback cross, 13 years old. Both are rescues.

I was sitting on my front porch and heard the geese and chickens in an uproar, and Nero took off like a shot (as usual) to see what was going on. Seconds later, I heard a short dog fight, maybe 5 to 10 seconds long, so I ran out back and both dogs were gone. Ziva must have blown through the back door. I do have a pet containment system, but apparently, it didn't matter. I called for the dogs, and Ziva was on the back hill looking distraught. I called, but she wouldn't come. Nero was nowhere to be seen. I went up the hill, and she was shaking and holding her left rear leg up. I got her into the house and checked her over. Nothing but her leg.

Now, we have coyotes. I see it all the time; it walks up the driveway between my house and the neighbors like it's his. I'm not sure it's not a coydog; it looks too tall for a coyote to me. My neighbor had to stop her car once to wait for it to pass her house so she could pull in. Five minutes later, Nero shows up unharmed and foaming at the mouth. I took Ziva to the emergency vet, and they said she tore her CCL and would need surgery. I'm struggling a bit like a lot of people these days, and have been trying to figure out how to pay for it. I applied for a personal loan but didn't get it. Should I try to see if my credit card company would raise my limit?

My vet says the surgery will be hard for her because of her age. He's giving her pain meds, but says it won't get better, and I can't let her live the rest of her days on pain meds holding her back leg up. She's an active dog for 13, and I want her to enjoy life. She runs the roost here, even me a lot of the time! If you could help in any way, I would be so appreciative. No amount is too small. Thank you so much in advance.
