The time has come for our little warrior to begin his bone marrow transplant journey. We have known for some time that this would be a part of his journey, but now that it is here, it comes with mixed emotions.

I've had several people ask to create something to help us relieve some stress. I'm always reluctant to ask for ways to support, but this time it is definitely needed. Zion will be receiving his BMT at Duke Children’s Hospital, so away from home. I will be taking a leave of absence from work to accompany him, and Andre will remain home to care for the other kids and home.

Because of Zion’s many admissions and transfusions, I have completely depleted my PTO and have no paid leave options and will be totally out of work for a total of about 3.5-4 months. We appreciate any and all support, including prayers if that’s all you have. ❤️ We’re so grateful for the village that always steps up for us.

These funds will be used for traveling expenses for the commute back and forth to Durham, groceries and essentials for Zion and I while we’re there.
