Zion Memorial Fund

I am devastated to report that Zion passed away in his sleep this week. Any funds donated will be given to the family to support with funeral costs and his memorial fund/foundation. That is all I have to share at this time. Keep his friends and family in your thoughts.

In partnership with Zion's family, we are fundraising for our beloved Independence High Class of 2020 graduate Zion Rick-Gaines. Zion was seriously injured in a senseless act of gun violence near his apartment on Labor Day. Miraculously Zion survived gunshots to his head, but he has lost his eyesight and he has a challenging recovery ahead of him. Zion is an incredible young man with many friends and family supporting him. Please consider donating funds that will go directly to him to aid in the recovery and give him some economic stability as he navigates his new life.
