Hello Everyone! As many of you may be aware, beginning November 1, 2025, there may be a temporary shutdown or reduction in SNAP benefits. While we do not yet have confirmation on whether benefits will be distributed as usual, there is a possibility of delays or interruptions, which could significantly impact some of our students and their families.

I have connected with Nancy Carlough at the Zion Food Pantry and she has stated that she has seen a significant increase in the amount of families coming in for food. Last week alone the pantry fed 75 families. This is about 20% more than during COVID. Her yearly funding has only lasted 4 months and is now gone and while the state has let her know that they will be providing more funding she is unsure about when and how much.

Because of this need the WCT will be running a donation drive benefiting the Zion Food Pantry from November 5 through the 14th. I do not wish to burden the schools with extra at this time so we will be taking monetary donations only for this drive.
