Support Zion Breeze Kailiawa Pacheco’s Healing Journey

Aloha friends and ʻohana,

We are reaching out with deep aloha and urgency to support a courageous little boy, Zion Breeze Kailiawa Pacheco, who is only 4 years old and bravely battling stage 3 cancer.

Zion was born on November 11, 2020, and has already endured more than most of us will in a lifetime. He has undergone 6 days of radiation, is currently undergoing 21 days of chemotherapy, and has had his right kidney surgically removed.

Zion and his ʻohana live on a Hawai'i island, but all of his treatments take place on Oʻahu. His Grandmother flies with him 3 to 4 times a week so he can receive the care he needs. Unfortunately, medical insurance only covers flights for Zion and his grandmother (Georgette) due to her medical condition. Zion cannot fly alone and is most comforted when both his mom and grandma are with him—but his mother’s frequent flights are not covered.

Breakdown of the Urgent Financial Need:

Round-trip flights for Zion’s mother (3–4 times/week until end of August):

Approx. 21 days of treatment = $5,250 in flight costs

Food costs for travel days:

Approx. $60 per trip = $1,510 total
