Support Zinah Artistic Retail

In December of 2017, I set out on a mission to bring a fusion of visual artistry, fashion, home décor, original design and cooperative economics, all presented in a luxury aesthetic in the heart of Southwest Atlanta. With the support of a few special friends and family members who trusted and believed in that vision, Zinah Artistic Retail LLC took shape.
Since then, Zinah has grown into quite the go-to eclectic Boutique, Gallery, and Artist Collective providing a unique, multisensory retail experience unlike any other. Zinah offers creative classes in our gallery, which is also available for meetings, workshops, and intimate private events.

Even with all that magic and “Black Excellence,” this year has been beyond trying. We made it through a pandemic, but in late February, we suffered a significant break-in from which we are still trying to recover along with the current state of the economy, causing added instability. Materials, shipping, production costs and commercial rent have all risen dramatically, and while hand-crafted items and most specialized services are already expensive, overhead costs have become astronomical. And to an entirely self-funded, black-owned enterprise founded by a single mother of 6, those circumstances mean life or death for said business.

While I know I am not alone in this plight as a small business owner right now, what Zinah offers to everyone who enters the door is truly special, and we have only scratched the surface compared to the larger overall vision.

Unfortunately, we need to raise more capital immediately due to unexpected expenses. Although Zinah is currently open and busy, busyness does not always equate to success when you are faced with the kind of economic hurdles our country hasn't faced in several decades. When I read articles and social media posts about businesses closing, the most common remarks from the community are, Why didn't they ask for help? Why didn't they reach out?" So here's an opportunity. We're asking the community for some support.

It has been challenging to extinguish my pride and reach out for help. But I'm asking out of love for this much-needed, magical community of creatives we've built over the years. Many of you also have a passion for the arts and community. Zinah Artistic Retail embodies both. Please help Zinah continue to flourish. Whatever the amount is greatly appreciated.

Thank You
