Support Zenith's Road to Recovery

Hello friends and horse community,

My name is Mary Honora Corke and I am a friend and trainer for Jamie VonLoh. Most of you may know Jamie as Zenith's owner. Zenith is Moresian stallion who is well known for his looks, temperament, athletic achievements and outstanding offspring.

This past weekend, Zenith suffered a pasture accident when a long, rusty nail imbedded itself into his leg. The puncture wound went deep enough to pierce the tendon sheath and interfere with the fetlock joint. As most of us horse owners will know - that is a devastating diagnosis. At this time, I will defer people to Jamie's Facebook page for updates and more in depth details.

Zenith was sent to surgery this morning. His prognosis at this time is unclear. And the financial commitment to saving his life is beyond overwhelming. Although Zenith is insured, his coverage will only provide a dent in the road to recovery.

Zenith is not just a horse. He is THE horse of a lifetime and an invaluable member to their family. Any and all efforts to save him are a must.

Jamie and her husband are hardworking, responsible and selfless people. In a time like this, accepting help can feel like weakness or like a burden to the people we love. Especially when it comes to finances. I am here to ask the community to help me show our support of them during this time. And to let them know that just because someone can handle a situation, doesn't mean they should have to. I would like to remove some of the heavy burden that this unfair situation has put on their shoulders.
