Robert F. Knight was a beloved member of the Altadena, California community who faced many challenges in his life. Intellectually disabled, Robert survived the devastating Eaton fires, which destroyed his family’s generational home. Despite these hardships, he was surrounded by the love and care of his sister, Zella Knight, who stood by his side for seven months in the hospital. Robert’s passing on August 8, 2025, was unexpected and has left a deep void in the lives of those who knew him.
Zella has long been a champion for housing rights, dedicating years to helping others find stability and security. Now, after losing both her parents and her brother within a single year, she is facing unimaginable grief and financial strain. The funds raised will go directly toward covering Robert’s funeral arrangements, memorial services, and the transportation costs needed to honor his memory.
Zella has always been the one to give, to fight for her community, and to support those in need. In this moment, she is relying on the kindness and generosity of others to help her through. Your support will not only help lay Robert to rest with dignity but will also show Zella that her years of giving have not gone unnoticed. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference for Zella and her family as they navigate this difficult time.
Adalky and Geraldine from NYC arranged this gofundme to support their ally in this housing work and all the funds from this site will go directly to Zella and her family.
