Hello, my name is Samantha and this is about my 8 year old pitbull and ESA Zelda.

She is named after my absolute favorite game series. She is a very important part of our life and family.

She recently started exhibiting weird symptoms and not acting as herself.

She was leaking from her private area and constantly licking the area. We thought this to initially be incontinence due to her being 8 years old, but we continued to monitor her. After her demeanor changed, her stool changed and her discharge became worse I knew I needed to act. I signed up for my only option being a care credit, credit card to ensure I could have her seen.

As of today 08/13/2026 my fears were confirmed and my girl was given the diagnosis of Pyrometra.

This is a very serious medical concern for female dogs that are in tact.

Their uterus fill with infection and starts to leak and can very quickly become deathly as this infection fills the uterus and can/will burst causing death.

We were able to catch this before Sepsis has come in and have a urgent surgery scheduled for tomorrow morning. 08/14/2026 at 8 am.

Seth & I have called out of work to ensure we can get this done and get her taken care of.

The estimate I received from the vet regarding her surgery and care is $2,900 however it could be larger for a number of reasons.

I am setting this up to help to ensure this will be taken care of but not absolutely murder my finances for an indefinite amount of time, as I am in no way- well off.

All proceeds will go directly to the payment of the large expense of the surgery and care that will be charged, and if there’s any left over, a new bed for Zelda (she soiled hers heavily with discharge/infection) and treats to shower her with once allowed.
