Meet our beautiful little girl, Zelda. We adopted her ten years ago. She had been in the shelter for almost two years with little interest because she was shy and doesn't like to be picked up. She followed me around as I spoke to all the kitties, and my husband said she chose us. With love and patience, we brought her out of her shell. She is our precious little angel and the perfect companion to her more rambunctious brother, Rodney.

Last year Zelda began experiencing gastrointestinal issues. Despite our best efforts to treat her with diet & supplements, Zelda stopped eating in May and had to be rushed to the CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital ER. She was hospitalized and had to have an esophageal feeding tube surgically inserted. After many tests, she was diagnosed with Small Cell GI Lymphoma—a treatable form of cancer. With hope for possibly three more years together, we chose to start treatment.

It has been a difficult road since May, but our amazing Doctor Leduc and the team at CSU VTH have been incredible and helped us so much! Unfortunately, we have now exhausted our financial resources and are facing steep interest charges on our CareCredit account. We have started this fundraiser to help cover Zelda’s ongoing treatment and medical bills.

Our warrior princess Zelda continues to fight, and we will continue to fight alongside her with your help.
