Support Zeke's Life-Saving Surgery

It’s heartbreaking when we’re faced with tough — and expensive — healthcare decisions for our fur babies. For many of us, like Mel & Dave, they're not just animals; they’re family. My dear friend and fellow teacher’s dog, Zeke, was tragically hit by a car last Thursday. Mel and Dave's dog Zeke already had one surgery to wire his jaw together and will require another surgery in 2 months. In addition to that the top of his head has been degloved and he needs sedated, surgical bandage changes every other day and in a week will need a significant surgery to close this major wound. Zeke has been a trooper and has a long life ahead of him.

As Mel and her educator husband have already maxed out their credit cards and prepare to dip into their retirement savings to cover the costs to care for their fur baby, I knew I couldn’t just stand by and do nothing and hope that you can help Zeke.
