Our son Zeke was born with a bilateral cleft in his soft palate, which has made eating difficult and caused hearing loss due to fluid blockage. At just 9 months old, Zeke is facing an early surgery because his feeding challenges are affecting his growth. Despite these obstacles, Zeke is a happy child who loves singing in the church choir with me, playing with his toys, and going on adventures to the aquarium.

This journey has been tough on our family. The frequent doctor visits and weekly occupational therapy sessions have made it nearly impossible for me to maintain steady work. Zeke’s upcoming surgery on August 5 means he’ll need six weeks of parental care at home, so both his parents will need to be with him as much as possible during his recovery. We want to give Zeke the best chance at a healthy start, but the financial strain is significant.
