We’re a team of young Palestinian and Israeli friends — scientists, entrepreneurs, dreamers and doers —coming together to turn climate tech into a force for peace and resilience. In one of the most politically fragile and polluted regions on Earth, we’re building something bold: Zaytounic.

Our startup transforms one of the region’s biggest environmental problems into something hopeful. Every year, thousands of tons of toxic olive mill wastewater are dumped into the environment across Palestine — polluting soil, contaminating water, and threatening the health of rural and unrecognized communities.

At Zaytounic, we’re turning waste into possibility.

Our Solution

Using olive waste, we’ve created a simple, low-cost process that:

• Filters toxins with biochar

• Turns waste into sustainable bioplastics

• Produces clean water for irrigation

All while being decentralized, affordable, and community-centered.
