Support Zayn's Fight Against PLE

Zayn is my son, a 6 year old boy who live in Sacramento, CA. He was born with a congenital heart disease known as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). He had 3 open heart surgeries to repair his heart by the time he was 5 years old as well as a feeding tube and numerous cardiac catherizations. Now he has been diagnosed with a rare condition that some people develop related to his heart condition called Protein Losing Enteropathy (PLE), where his body has a difficult time absorbing proteins, electrolytes and important nutrients. Zayn is currently at Sutter Medical Center taking medications to keep this condition as stable as possible. Unfortunately, we will have to go to Stanford Medical Center to continue treatment and care.

Zayn loves sports!!!! When he is feeling well enough he plays basketball. His favorite teams are the Sacramento Kings, San Francisco Giants, and the San Francisco 49ers. Zayn is an amazing boy who shows people around him what true courage, strength, believing and never giving up are all about. he is loved and liked by everyone that meets him. He never complains about the medical challenges he has faced. He always remains positive and is in good spirits.
