Support Zawadi Rangala to join the HJ Performng Arts - Korea

Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Zawadi Rangala, a 2nd gen from Kenya, and I’m reaching out to share my story and ask for your support in pursuing an incredible opportunity that could change my life.

Since I was a little girl, the arts have been my sanctuary. Growing up, I fell in love with music and theatre, captivated by their power to tell stories, heal hearts, and bring people together. With no access to formal training, I taught myself how to sing, perform, and express myself. It hasn’t been an easy road, but every note I hit and every story I bring to life feels like a step closer to my dreams.

Theatre has become my way of making sense of the world and connecting with others. It’s also my tool for change. Through musical theatre, I’ve used storytelling to inspire others and advocate for social issues I deeply care about, like women empowerment and equal opportunities for all.

As a child, I dreamed of performing for True Parents and using the talents they enabled me to have as a way of giving back to the community that raised me. That dream now feels closer than ever. I’ve been blessed with an invitation to attend the Hyojeong Performing Arts Camp in Korea, a prestigious program that brings together members who love the performing arts from around the world to learn, grow, and collaborate. This camp is more than just a chance to refine my skills—it’s an opportunity to immerse myself in a global community of artists, gain exposure to new cultures, and bring back fresh ideas to share with my own community.

Unfortunately, the financial challenges I’ve faced over the years make it impossible for me to fund this journey on my own. My family’s resilience in overcoming hardships has shaped who I am, but it’s also left us with limited resources to spare.

I’m asking for your help to raise $2500 to cover the costs of airfare, camp fees, and other travel expenses. By supporting me, you’re not just funding a trip—you’re investing in a young artist with a passion for storytelling, a dream to use the arts to change lives, and a heartfelt desire to give back to those who have shaped my journey.

The program starts on the 4th of January and ends on the 13th of April. I just heard about the program and felt that this would be a great opportunity to offer my heart and talent to True Mother and the providence during the opening of the Cheon Won Gung. I know its a short period of time but every contribution, no matter how small, gets me closer to this dream. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign with others would mean the world to me. You can also see my journey on my youtube channel @ZawadiSoowan.

Thank you for believing in me and my journey. Let’s make this dream a reality together!

With gratitude and love,
Zawadi Suwan Rangala
