Hey Family and Friends,

Unfortunately, Zara started having some severe pain in their molar on the right side on Sunday (9/28). Zara only just moved to Philly last month and doesn't have health insurance or an established provider, so we went to two different walk-in dentists, and luckily they said the tooth can be saved! But, Zara is going to need a root canal, a filling, and a crown to do so.

I'm hoping to raise some money to cover the costs of Zara's dental work, and Zara's birthday is this week, so please consider donating to help them get a root canal instead of a tooth pulled.

Because Zara doesn't have dental insurance, we will have to self-pay for the endodontics. The dental office is offering steep discounts to pay out of pocket to see the endodontist, but even still, it is very expensive.

The root canal will be $750. The filling could be $60-$140, but probably closer to $140 as they said it was large. The crown will be $825, so in total $1715, plus $55 ($1770) to cover GoFundMe’s 2.9% + $0.30 fee for each transaction.

Any little bit helps as Zara has had a really rough year and currently has no income. As we all know, job hunts really suck, and being able to interview and start a new job with a new crown over a root canal instead of getting a tooth pulled would be ideal.

Zara will still need routine dental work and possibly other fillings and ideally implants for the teeth shes had pulled in the past, so even if we’re “fully funded” please consider donating as 100% will go towards Zara’s “Luxury Bones.”
