Let's Help TWO FINAL Afghan teens Attend High School !!!!
Donation protected
We are endeavoring to help the two final Afghan students continue their educational journeys in the United States. With the new travel ban in effect, only those Afghan students who had pending visa interviews already in process can proceed. We are trying to help two final students achieve their dreams.
The two students we seek to help have been denied the right to attend school in their native Afghanistan. After years of commitment to their studies, their dreams of earning a high school diploma and attending college were crushed with the Taliban's 2021 takeover. Under Taliban rule, they have been confined to their homes and unable to attend school. They are incredibly resilient young people with impeccable academic records and glowing recommendations. They have secured opportunities at wonderful American schools, with substantial funding already in place. We are asking for help to fill the funding gap for each student, and cover the costs of bringing them through the arduous visa process and to the United States safely.
As we fundraise for these two final students, we continue to partner with Afghan Girls Financial Assistance Fund and the Congregational Church of Salisbury.
You can support this community campaign through this GoFundMe OR by making a direct, tax-deductible donation to the Congregational Church of Salisbury's Benevolence Fund. The Church's Benevolence Fund helps community members with urgent, unmet needs, including rent, food, utilities, health care, education and comprehensive support for people facing oppressive circumstances. In 2025, this also includes those who are refugees, immigrants and asylum seekers. A donation to the Benevolence Fund will directly assist this Project.
Direct donations Benevolence Fund can be made HERE. Please mark the donation for "The Benevolence Fund" and your gift will be acknowledged by the church.
The amazing efforts of so many have already helped us bring Zara and Arezoo to safety. Both girls are settled in the United States and have resumed their high school studies. Let's make this dream possible for two final young people as well. Our fundraising effort also continues to support the young women as they pursue their educations, including the costs of computers and school supplies, clothing, transportation, as well as summer educational opportunities that will allow them to learn and thrive.
Please join us as we build a compassionate community of continued support around these brave and resilient girls.
