Hi, I’m Zali—a passionate ski instructor, fearless adventurer, and driven athlete. My life has been about pushing boundaries and embracing the thrill of the extreme. Yet, recent years have introduced a challenge that tests me in ways I never imagined.

Years of pushing my limits led to multiple concussions, culminating in a debilitating neurological disorder diagnosed after a car accident on December 1st, 2023, and an injury at Aspen Highlands in January 2024. The diagnosis: Functional Neurological Disorder, stemming from traumatic brain injuries.

My daily life now is a relentless struggle with intense fatigue, severe headaches, and sleep disturbances. On my toughest days, tremors, joint pain, balance issues, and seizures overwhelm me. Simple tasks become monumental, and I often need assistance to walk. Despite these challenges, I’ve always been someone who defies the odds—earning my Level 2 ski instructor certification while battling through this relentless condition.

Known for my positivity and warm heart, I’ve always been the ray of sunshine in my circle, the one who listens and deeply cares for those around me. I’ve worked hard on my mindset and maintained a strong exterior, so many might not realize the daily battles I face.

The treatment I need is highly specialized and, unfortunately, not covered by insurance. I’ve found a treatment center in Utah with a 90% improvement rate for patients with my condition. The cost for this intensive therapy, ongoing care, travel expenses, and mounting medical debt is significant.
