My name is Sharon, Zakais grandmother. For everyone who’s been following Zakai started having drop seizures and tonic clinic seizures a month after he turned 4. It has been over a year of doing different tests and trying to figure out the best treatment plan for Zakai. He has suffered many injuries and falls from his seizures, it’s been an emotional roller coaster for all of us. We’ve tried treating his seizures with medication and doing the keto diet where neither have worked. His neurologist decided that the best treatment for him will be a corpus callosotomy, which he will be getting June 30th. Maddalynn, his mom is a single mom who works full time and will be off of work for an extended period of time.
