Help Zac Empower ESL Students with Books

My name is Zac Sutherland. I am an English as a second language teacher in Brunswick County, North Carolina, USA. I have been teaching in this county for four years now. In the past four years, we have seen a substantial increase in migrant and immigrant students who have come here with their families looking for a better life. Most of them come from Central American countries.

I try to give my students the best education possible, but our county doesn't always have the resources. In my research on student learning, I have found that having many books in the classroom for students to choose from to read in class is of huge importance in helping them learn English. My request for funds is simple. I want to buy the students 30-50 books to have in the classroom. With these, I can challenge my students to read one book per week and have a competition where the team gets some kind of prize at the end of the school year for reading the most books. I would greatly appreciate any donation. Thank you!
