I’m starting a fundraiser for Zach’s upcoming open heart surgery. He is having a more complicated procedure than we thought.

He is having his aortic valve redone and replaced with a mechanical valve. He is also having an aortic aneurysm in his aorta repaired. He is planned to be in the hospital for about a week.

This will be a long hard recovery including physical and occupational therapy, cardiac rehab, follow up visits and testing along with being on a blood thinner.
