With Zachs cancer having spread into his spine he will begin more radiation on the 29th. This round will be max 3 weeks, him, and his wife will stay up there staying at Hope Lodge. He will do much stronger radiation every other day. He has a long, long road to hoe, and they are needing financial help to make ends meet while he is once again going through radiation. He does have a Cash App account it's $morrow30
It's been awhile since I updated, but here we go.
Zachs cancer has spread to his spine, and lungs. Chemo is not working, but he is continuing to take them, plus he will have to go though 6 weeks of radiation on his spine. His insurance is running out in the next week or so, and without coverage he will no longer be able to receive treatments, and without treatments. If you would like to donate so that he can at least afford pain meds, you can donate here, or send your donations to his cash app $morrow30.....
June 4th....
Zachs fight continues, he is keeping busy between Drs appointments, treatments, he has still made time to serve the people on Le Center Ambulance, and spending time with his wife, family, and fishing.
He recently had a minor set back developing Bells Palsy which has distorted his face, and made eating a bit of a challenge. Yet he remains positive, and has continued to do what he can to remain so.
The bills continue to mount, so the need for financial help continues.
Zachs follow up today was beyond AWESOME, the cancer in his stomach has shrunk 30%. This is so much needed good news, but while a HUGE step in the right direction, we know it is not a cure, but it gives us hope. If it was for the Drs at Abbott Northwestern in Minneapolis, and all of you that have donated, Zach may not have this chance to fight this "uncurable" cancer on a level that he has. This is unbelievable, and I want to THANK ALL OF YOU.
Well Zach starts his 4th week of treatments Monday, but before he goes back, he did another UPL fishing tournament with his fishing partner Nick, and although they didn't do as well as the last one, the mere fact that he goes out there, does what he loves says so much about the man he is, and the fight he has in him. The fight, and determination is there, the only thing that isn't is the money. A lot of the things are being covered by insurance, and grants from Abbott Northwestern, but their expenses for food, gas to get to the appointments, not to mention everyday bills at home are not getting paid. That is where you come in, every dollar donated here, goes to cover meals and some of the meds, and the expenses at home. Now I completely understand that some of you can't donate, but you can still help us by getting the word out, and sharing this page. If you don't do GoFundMe for whatever reason if you live anywhere near the Mankato area you can go to the nearest MinnStar bank, Zach has an account there, just take your donation there, and deposit whatever money you want, or if you do Venmo he has a business account there it's Morrow Outdoors, you can do the same there. Won't you consider donating, and making Zachs, and his wife's journey a little bit less stressful? We appreciate all of you, God is with him every step of the way.
It's been 2 months since my son Zachs world was turned upside down when he was diagnosed with stage 4 Alveolar Sarcoma, a cancer that begins in the soft tissue of the Thigh area, and as of right now there is no known cure. This cancer is so rare that any cure would purely be an educated guess.
On Monday Jan 20th Zach began 5 weeks of very strong radiation Monday thru Friday at Abbott Northwestern in Minneapolis. His wife Amyber will be driving to Abbott in Minneapolis everyday during his treatments, so she is able to still work since that is their only income at this time. Zach on the other hand will be staying at Hope Lodge in Minneapolis, just incase there are reactions to the radiation. This is going to really stress their already stressed to the limit budget. Yes he will be doing chemo at this time as well, one treatment every 3 weeks, he also has been taking a chemo pill that is extremely expensive, insurance has covered most of the cost, but not all of it.
This cancer has really taken a toll on Zach, he can't eat much because it takes up a large part of his stomach, and has spread to his lung, and his leg. He has already under gone one surgery to place a steel rod into his left femur because of the damage cancer has done. There is a chance he will have more surgeries, along with the Chemo, and Radiation, that still remains to be seen.
This is going to be a long long road for both him, and his wife Amyber, and they need as much help as we can possibly give them.
Zach has donated much of his life to helping others, whether it be as a 1st Responder, or just helping under privileged kids learn about fishing, and hunting safely. It is time we repay him for the heart that he has so willfully shown people all over southern Mn. We are going to keep this fund raiser going for as long as need be, the money raised will go to cover any expenses incurred through the process that Zach is going through.
Zach is in a lot of pain, and will soon be given some aggressive pain management, so PLEASE give what you can, I assure you every penny earned will go a long way in keeping Zach comfortable until they either a a miracle happens and they find a cure, or God decides to keep him with us by some how removing this dreaded disease.
We understand not everyone can donate, but you can still help them by sharing this on your social media pages.
Thank You, GOD BLESS all of you.

Zack out doing one of the things he loves, ice fishing with his cousin Corey recently.
