We are writing on behalf of our family as we walk through an unexpected and overwhelming medical journey with our son, Zach. On March 22, Zach was diagnosed with cancer and has begun an intensive treatment plan that includes chemotherapy, hospital stays, and ongoing medical care. Zach is a student at Texas A&M University and a proud member of the Aggie Wranglers. He loves his school, his friends, and the life he was building there. Watching that suddenly pause has been incredibly hard, but his Aggie spirit and resilience continue to shine through even in the middle of this fight.
What we thought would be a straightforward start to treatment has already included serious complications, including severe allergic reactions during his first full chemo attempt. Zach is currently managing constant pain, fatigue, and the emotional toll of having his life suddenly turned upside down. Despite everything, he continues to show resilience in ways that inspire us daily. As a family, we are doing everything we can to support him—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—while also continuing to care for our other children and maintain work responsibilities. However, the financial impact is quickly becoming overwhelming. We are beginning to receive significant medical bills from hospital stays, treatments, and ongoing care. In addition, Zach is no longer able to work, and we are helping cover his former living expenses and obligations, including rent and basic needs.
We want to be able to say “yes” to anything that brings him comfort, care, and the best chance at healing without hesitation. This is not easy for us to ask, but many have reached out wanting to help. If you feel led to give, any amount will go directly toward medical bills, treatments, hospital stays, medications, Zach’s living expenses, and supporting our family as we navigate missed work and ongoing care. More than anything, we deeply value your prayers, encouragement, and support. We truly believe we are not walking this alone. Thank you for loving our family and for standing with Zach as he fights this. With gratitude, Brian, Sarah, and family
