My brother Zach is facing one of the toughest battles of his life. Earlier this year, he was diagnosed with stage 3 squamous cell carcinoma. The diagnosis came as a shock to all of us, and since then, Zach has undergone surgery to remove his lymph nodes and the cancer from his tongue. Unfortunately, the cancer has spread to his lymph nodes, and now he is preparing to start radiation treatment, with the possibility of chemotherapy to follow.
At the start of the year, Zach was preparing to start a new job, looking forward to a fresh chapter. But due to the surgery and the demanding schedule of radiation—five days a week for eight weeks—he is unable to work. This has placed a significant financial strain on him, as he now faces mounting living expenses, medical bills, the costs of traveling for treatment, and the need for speech therapy, all while focusing on his recovery.
I truly appreciate all the love and support for Zach so far. I don't want the financial burden this has placed him in to keep him down. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help Zach focus on healing and give him the strength to keep fighting. Thank you for standing with us during this difficult time.
