This is Zach with his wife Meredith. Zach is 26 and after having a grand mal seizure in the middle of the night on August 7th, was diagnosed with a brain tumor the size of a lemon. It is located in the frontal lobe and was determined to be aggressively growing, so Zach is undergoing surgery on August 9th to remove the tumor.
Zach is in good spirits and determined to make a full recovery. He and Meredith are fortunate to have health insurance, which they expect will cover a portion of the cost of the surgery. However, Zach is unable to work, and Meredith is taking time off to be by his side in the ICU. Since this is all happening very fast, they do not know how long Zach will be unable to work but expect it to be for some time as his brain heals post surgery. They have great faith and skilled doctors, and are expecting an excellent outcome, but there are many unknowns including the type of tumor cells present and if it has spread, and how extensive his rehab or treatment will be after surgery.
This appeal is to help Zach cover his medical bills not covered by insurance, and to help pay their mortgage and living expenses which were previously covered by his salary. Meredith works two jobs and volunteers at the local theaters but her income alone is not sufficient to pay their mortgage and living expenses. They expect she will be highly involved in his care after he is discharged from the hospital, limiting her ability to work her usual hours.
We are extremely grateful to anyone who can contribute, and ask for your prayers for a successful surgery.
