My name is Zachary Reasner,

I am a combat-disabled veteran and a father and a husband. Roughly about a year and a half ago, I was hit in the mouth by a powerline that was pinned down by a downed tree. I was using my skills as a professional logger and slowly started cutting the tree off the road until I could reach the trunk, which was the part that was pinning the powerline down. As I started cutting through the tree, it snapped, and the powerline released and hit me directly in the mouth/face. It ultimately launched me about 20 feet in the air and another 20 feet down into a ditch. While all this was happening, I realized that I had lost most of my upper teeth and also completely tore my arm wide open. I was immediately taken to the hospital by my wife and her father. Upon assessment, they told me that I shouldn’t even be alive after suffering a blow like that. They also mentioned that the nasty gashes in my arm were very, very close to an artery. I believe the part that kept me alive was the fact that my wife was currently pregnant with my son Weston.

Fast forward to now, I have been working two jobs and any and all side work I can take just to be able to afford the procedure that I need. I have been to countless dentists and oral surgeons, and the result has been the same. The biggest reason for starting this is due to my health and welfare. I have not been able to eat properly, regulate my health, or even smile in a picture with my newborn son. I do not like asking for help by any means; however, after carefully discussing with my family and friends, this platform may be the right way to go.
